Who we are: the house of the living, in Nyon

Grand Appétit is one place to taste, take away and share the living — restaurant, fine grocery and natural wine cellar, Place Bel-Air in Nyon. Seasonal cooking, honest wines, and the simple desire to welcome you well.

It all started from a conviction held by two: Florian and Benjamin, co-founders from day one, wanted a place that wouldn't choose. Not quite a restaurant, not only a grocery, not just a cellar: all three at once, because that's how we love to live around a table. You taste here, you leave with something, you share.

Where we come from

Benjamin first lived to a very different rhythm: twenty years in finance. Then the urge to create with his hands, to feed people and to welcome them took over. He went back to training at the CREM to turn his passion into a trade — and became a chef. Grand Appétit was born from that turn: proof that you can change everything to live from what you truly love.

A cooking of the living

In the kitchen, Benjamin composes with the market, on instinct, to the rhythm of the seasons — with Basile at his side. Lunch changes every day; in the evening, plates to share. Nothing is fixed: what nature gives dictates the menu.

A cellar with something to say

In the cellar, Sébastien, our partner, watches over a selection of living wines — organic, biodynamic, or simply true. We love the winemakers we know, the bottles with a story. To drink by the glass here, or to take away and extend the moment.

At heart, Grand Appétit isn't just a restaurant: it's a certain idea of the art of living. Taking your time, eating well, drinking well, sitting down without watching the clock, making every meal a moment that counts. The real luxury, for us, is the simplicity of a beautiful product and the pleasure of being together.

In the heart of Nyon, Place Bel-Air, we wanted a place on a human scale, where every detail is thought through so the experience is whole. Behind the counter, a small team; around us, the artisans we know by their first name. That's all of Grand Appétit: honest, seasonal, and made to be shared.
