What data and why

• Booking (via Tableo): name, contact, booking details — to manage your table.
• Private-event / contact request: name, email, date, number of guests, message — to reply to you.
• Newsletter "the living letter": email — sent via Infomaniak Newsletter (data hosted in Switzerland), only with your consent, unsubscribe possible at any time.
• Browsing: technical data (server logs, cookies from external content) — for security and proper functioning.

External content & transfers abroad

This site integrates third-party services that load only with your consent (cookie banner):

• Tableo — online booking.
• Google Maps — access map (Google LLC, USA).
• Spotify — playlist player (Spotify, EU/USA).

These services may set cookies and transfer data outside Switzerland (notably to the United States), to countries whose level of protection may differ. These transfers rely on appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses or a recognised adequacy mechanism). You may refuse or withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookies" link at the bottom of the page; none of this content loads without your agreement.

Legal basis & retention periods

Processing relies on your consent (newsletter, third-party content cookies) or on the legitimate interest in managing the relationship (bookings, requests). As a guide:

• Bookings: kept for the time needed to manage your visit, then deleted or anonymised (approx. 12 months).
• Contact / private-event requests: kept for the time needed to reply and to follow up the relationship, then deleted.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe (link included in every send).
• Server logs: kept for a limited period for security and proper functioning.

We make no automated decisions or profiling producing legal effects concerning you.

Your rights

In accordance with the revFADP, you may request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, the handover or transfer of the data you have provided to us (portability), withdraw your consent or object to processing. Write to us at contact@grandappetit.ch; we reply as soon as possible. You may also contact the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC), in Bern.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. We take reasonable measures to protect your data against any unauthorised access.

Hosting & newsletter

Site and newsletter hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak Network SA (Geneva). The data stays in Switzerland. To date, the site uses no third-party analytics tool (such as Google Analytics) or advertising.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the site or to regulations. The date of the last update appears below; should an analytics or advertising tool be added, it will be updated accordingly.
